  • This would be my 3rd week going, so far it's awesome I feel like every time I leave I get an amazing work out. Everyone there is friendly, always saying hi and motivating you through the workouts. Javier fernandez is doing a great job with the beginner's class supporting us in every way possible with the help of his peers. Safety is always first here at big bang crossfit! I look forward for my next workout.

  • Awesome box!! great coaches and great people to work out with. Everyone pushes you to do your best and everyone pushes you to not give up. I have tried out a couple of different places for Crossfit and I'm glad I was able to find Big Bang Crossfit.

  • Just started at this box a couple of months ago following an awesome coach that has helped me to be where I am today. All the people in this box are completely welcoming and supportive. Fernando the owner/coach is awesome and great at what he does! Check it out you won't want to leave!

  • Been coming here for close to 2 weeks and I'm already seeing weight loss results! Being a big guy, I didn't think I'd be able to hang in crossfit but Fernando does a great job of modifying workouts to my level. Fernando is very motivational and promotes teamwork among all his members. Never thought I'd look forward to my workouts!

  • I found this place on Yelp. I did a little bit of homework before anything. I wished some of the reviews I read about other gyms provide more details. You can get a great work out in any other gym but this is a better and different place to work out because: (In my own opinion and in no particular order)

Coaches: Fernando, Victor, and Javier are great coaches and people because they are interested about you and your wellness. Besides your fitness goals, they want to know about your work, lifestyle, and interest. They'll notice if you show up and will miss you if you don't. They are encouraging and have tons of experience. Fernando is always there, Victor is super jolly, and Javier can make anyone laugh.

Classes and Members: Classes are generally small, which I like because the attention is there. IE: If you are unsure of any of the movements. Quality and span of control is there with small classes. Classes start with overview, warming up, stretching, strength buy in, work out, and cash out. No one here is to make you feel dumb. It can be intimidating but everyone is pretty friendly and encouraging. Everyone means well. They are interested in your outside life of fitness as well. Which I find odd because the less you know about me the better. People tend to remember your name here. I believe this gym is only months old, so as members grow I'm sure so will the class schedule. There is community events outside the gym as well. Fernando host USC football games, Spartan races, and BBQ every now and then.

Location and Parking. Near the 60 freeway. No need to drive deep into the heartland from the 60. You don't have to deal with paying meters, parking enforcement, looking out for signs, or limited spaces.

Equipment. Equipment is quality here. Everything is pretty much from Rogue. From Hi-temp bumper plates to Ohio bars, even the little things like Ab mats. Nothing gets cheaped out, even the ducking chalk is from the Rogue website.

Schedule: Each class is a hour long and are held morning and evenings. What I enjoy about this place the MOST is that Fernando doesn't mind you staying afterwards. If you want to get better and work on something particular, just that you don't take away from the oncoming classes. It's just being considerate. Olympic lifts are held on Wednesdays. Benchmarks on Fridays.

Foundation class. As of now, there is no foundation classes. Before each workout the coaches will dissect each individual movement. I think that is a better way to teach the movements and keeping it constantly fresh.I have a memory like a goldfish.

Pricing: Compare to other gyms and for everything they offer above. I think its very reasonable. The offer discounts to Military, First Responders (Fire, PD, and EMS), Full time Teachers and Full times students. As a Veteran and First Responder, this is very much appreciated.

As for now, the only gripe I have is there isn't enough Rage Against the Machine music playing in the work outs. I'm kidding of course.
